Central Park Players Summer Camp

Central Park Players (CPP) youth theatre day camp, ACT ONE, is a place where young people ages 5-13 years can express themselves creatively and develop interpersonal communication skills. Our youth theatre has had a major impact on the lives of young people. It challenges them to open their minds, explore various worlds through scripts and scores of music, diverse characters and be able to tell a story in a variety of ways—through spoken words, song, mime, image… and the list goes on! Every summer, ACT ONE is held at Central Park Place. On June 19, this city building is closed. Class will be held in the Program Room at the Spring Lake District Library. This year, ages 5-8 will perform It’s A Hit and ages 9-13 will perform Summer Camp, a musical. | Performances: Campers will learn a short musical that will be presented on the evening of Friday, June 27. Shows are on a minimalist set with an emphasis on the campers’ performances. | NEW Additional Performances: In past years, we have sold out performances and had to turn away friends and family. We will perform each show twice in 2025. Our younger campers perform at 5:00PM and 5:45 PM; our older campers will take the stage with at 6:30PM and 7:30PM. | Performance tickets are $5 per show. Parents and guardians may purchase tickets to performances before they go on sale to the public on June 1. A code to access ticket sales will be emailed upon submission. Orders will be limited to 8 tickets per showtime.
